This entry is for items that are Video Game Related, but fall outside the scope of the normal VGG system. This is a "free fire" zone where discussion, videos and images of these items is allowed and encouraged.
There are a few items that are not part of the database. The list below will be updated as things change, but for now:
Alternate Reality Games (ARG): Although some have game elements to them, these are outside the scope of VGG.
Demos of Games: This includes iPhone Lite Versions/Releases.
Download Only Compilations: Compilations and bundles released only as a download.
Games Where the Primary Gameplay Occurs Beyond the Computer: Such as programs that are tools to provide gameplay support for a non-computer based game.
Minor Expansions and Micro-DLC: This applies to DLC that includes the addition of new characters, equipment, or skins alone. Expansions with this material may be included if they also contain new storylines, maps, or missions.
Music Emulation Programs: Anything with the single purpose of sharing, remixing, or replicating a musical instrument. Example: KORG DS-10
Non-Games - Construction Kits: Anything marketed as a construction kit or development aid should not be added. A title marketed as a game, but that also comes with a construction kit is acceptable though.
Non-Games - Utilities: Any games that are not played on a hardware platform and instead use software programs such as Vassal or Cyberboard to play the game. Service discs and other software intended to test hardware are also excluded.
Pinball Machines: Any electro-mechanical coin-operated machines such as claw cranes and redemption games.
Single Purpose Electronic Handhelds: Any electronic handhelds that have a single purpose should not be added; Example: tamagotchi or calculators on which you can play games.
Pirated versions/bundles: We will not accept pirated or any other illegal copies of games. We will take unlicensed games, see below.
Unsupported Crowd-Funding Projects: New game projects are springing up all the time and unfortunately not all of them will succeed. Therefore we cannot accept these projects UNLESS the funding goal has been reached.
