Stealth games require and reward the player for using stealth to overcome obstacles. Such games typically include hiding to remain undetected, using disguises, avoiding noise, finding alternate routes to an objective, and may allow the player to choose between a stealthy approach or a direct attack. Most stealth games feature protagonists who are thieves, assassins, spies, ninjas, or special forces operatives.
