The original Atari, Inc. founded in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney.

Admin Note:

In 1984 Atari, Inc. was split into Atari Games Inc. and the Atari Consumer Electronics Division was sold to Tramel Technology Ltd. who re-named it Atari Corporation.
On November 6, 1998 Hasbro Interactive, Inc. acquired all Atari Corporation related properties from JTS and created the subsidiary Atari Interactive.
In 2001 Infogrames Entertainment SA (IESA) bought Hasbro Interactive and renamed it to Infogrames Interactive and then Atari Interactive in 2003.
On October 11, 2008 Infogrames Entertainment SA (IESA) renamed Atari Interactive to Atari, Inc.
