User Summary
inXile Entertainment is an American developer specialized in role-playing games located in Newport Beach, California and founded in late 2002 by Brian Fargo after leaving Interplay Productions. Before the studio was founded Brian Fargo created fake cards to present at E3. For his job description he listed "Leader in exile" stating, "When we were first out there, trying to figure out what to do next, we kinda felt like we were in exile." People enjoyed the cards so much that Brian Fargo thought "Why not make up a new word?", which is how the studio obtained its name.
Brian Fargo developed the Kicking it Forward program in which inXile Entertainment pledged to use 5% of post-launch net profits to back future Kickstarter projects. As of June 2012 a total of 55 projects have participated in the initiative.
