User Summary
Games with moral choices usually present various problems, conundrums, dilemmas, or conversation topics in which the player is given multiple options on how they wish to proceed. The choices made by the player will have some impact either on the game-play, story, or game world and may affect possible allies or enemies, how npcs perceive the player, and even who lives or dies. Some games may have a black and white, good/evil, morality system while others increasingly use more complex morality systems in which their is no right or wrong and choices made by the player are more likely to be based on personal taste or opinion.
Morality comes from the Latin word "moralitas" (manner, character, proper behavior) and is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are right and those that are wrong. A moral code is a system of morality according to a particular philosophy, religion, or culture. Immorality is the active opposition to morality while amorality is defined as an unawareness of, indifference toward, or disbelief in any set of moral standards.
