"Advanced Squad Leader has set the standard in tactical combat gaming since its 1985 debut. A thriving community of ASL players extends throughout the world. No other game matches its flexibility, scope, and challenge. Players can simulate nearly any battle in any theater up to the battalion level. Maneuver 10-man squads, five-man half squads, and individual leaders and vehicles across a combination of over 50 geomorphic map boards or fight a campaign game on one of several highly detailed campaign game map sheets."

- Beyond Valor: ASL Module 1 - (Germans, Russians) newest edition : 3rd Edition.
- Paratrooper: ASL Module 2 - (original "learning module", some US) this module is made obsolete by the Starter Kit series (see below) and 2nd edition rulebook which now includes chapter K. Its counters and scenarios will be included in a future reprint of Yanks.
- Yanks: ASL Module 3 - (US Army)
- Partisan: ASL Module 4 - (some Axis minors). Out of print and now all contents are included in the 2018 2nd edition of Armies of Oblivion: ASL Module 12.

The second original module is an introductory module, geared towards those gamers who are experienced with Squad Leader. The first four boards from Squad Leader are needed to play the scenarios included, as well as the ASL rules.
Rulebook Chapter K, a "Training Manual," is included to get players started in the system.
Multi-Man Publishing will not be reprinting this module but will instead be covering the same introductory lessons in the form of "Starter Kits". See below for more information. |
