MeetMax Games is a new venture to take what we all love about board games and create a platform and games for large groups to play simultaneously as corporate or school entertainment. This is our second year and our clients have principally been finance and tech companies who have used us for corporate parties, team building and events to get people interacting and having fun in light but smart (and non-physical) competition
All games are real time and played person to person, Games require no prior knowledge or experience. Rules are explained in under 2 minutes, yet allow for different gaming experiences with some unique mechanics that are only possible with large groups and simultaneous play. For those who played last year - the games are very similar but the hardware has dramatically improved. I will run two sessions each one hour for 20-30 players in each group. In each session we will play 3-4 games and the winning teams will get an amazing prize! I hope you can join me for something completely new and unique.
SignUp Sheets available Wednesday afternoon
Orphans and First-Timers Meet-Up
New to BGG.CON? Don't know anyone at the convention? Let us introduce you to some folks!
Hosted by our very own TEAM GEEK (the volunteers in the white football jerseys)
No sign-ups are required, just show up and be prepared to have fun.
Start your engines! and Go! Race your car through a custom designed stunt track and see who completes the track most effectively in this dexterity game that tests your finger flicking skills to the maximum.
This Annual Texas Hold’Em Tournament is a great staple for BGG.CON. Be the last man standing for great prizes. Since no money is involved, amateurs are encouraged to play. Show up at 7:45, and we’ll go through the rules of the game to help you get started.
Compete with fellow geeks as your four person team completes a variety of puzzles and challenges. We don't want to turn anyone away, but we need to know how many puzzle packets to print so sign up early!
Message from Dave and Aaron: The final meta puzzle of this year's Puzzle Hunt will be played/solved entirely online. While this is 100% possible to do through your phone, we feel it's going to be much more fun - and way less crowded (your whole team huddling around your device) - if you experience/play this puzzle on a laptop or a tablet. Most of you bring one of these already, and you'll only need one per team... but we wanted to mention this well in advance of your packing for Dallas :)
Sign-ups for this event will be posted in the Convention Lobby soon after the convention begins. (The 24-hour rule is suspended for this event only since space is not limited.)
Special Guest Panel
Join our special guests, Tim Schafer, Matt Leacock, Eric Lang and Rob Daviau for an entertaining and lively discussion on gaming in their very different areas of the boardgaming world.
The Spiel-a-thon is a fund raiser for The Spiel Foundation, a non profit organization that donates bundles of 5 quality board and card games to children's hospitals and senior centers. The money we raise at the event helps us bring more fun to kids and seniors across the country! (thespielfoundation.com)
This year's Spiel-a-thon is totally different!
10-12 game stations with teachers will be set up in the Innovation Ballroom from 1-4 PM on Friday, November 18. Each game will be a goofy, fun, quick to learn game like Dr Eureka, Strike, Loopin' Louie or Tumblin' Dice.
To participate in the Spiel-a-thon, come get a punch card from the cashier table. No registration or sign up needed. Just come get a punch card once the event has started!
For each game you play, you'll get a stamp on your punch card. When you're done, come back to the cashier and you'll pay a small amount ($2-3) per stamp on your card.
You can play for five minutes and donate a few bucks but the longer you play the more chances you will have to win free games during our regular raffles during the event and if you score enough stamps, you'll compete in the final round for an amazing array of game prize baskets!
Come play and help us raise money for a great cause!
Questions? Ask the Meeple Jacket Guy, Stephen Conway

Calling all game designers! Proto Alley is the place to see and be seen if you have raw, early-stage board games designed and ready to play test. Come test your game at UnPub with like-minded game designers who can give it the tough love that a new game needs.
Questions, Ask Ben Begeal
Sign-ups are requested through UnPub so we can make appropriate arrangements due to space, etc. Those who do not have a prototype are welcome to come and help playtest prototypes.
Virtual Flea Market
Here is the concept - While the BoardGame Bazaar (formerly known as Flea Market) is great, for some of us who are traveling to the convention, carrying games to the convention that you may or may not be able to sell is a hassle at the very least. So, use the "Virtual Flea Market" instead. If you have items that you'd like to sell at BGG.Con, list them here with the condition of your items, and the price or terms you'd like to sell for. With any luck, the deals will be done ahead of the convention and you can just do the physical swap in Dallas.
Western Legends is an open-world sandbox tabletop adventure for 2-6 players set in the American Wild West. Players assume the roles of historical figures of the era, earning their legendary status in a variety of ways: gamble, drive cattle, prospect for gold, rob the bank, fight bandits, pursue stories, become an outlaw, keep the peace. The possibilities are darn near endless. Will you determine the history of the Wild, Wild West? Join us for this Play-to-Win Event and change history.
