Lord of the Rings Miniatures
There have been a number of companies which produced miniatures base on JRR Tolkiens' Middle Earth books. Some of them are licenced from games and films. Table of Contents Heritage MiniaturesHeritage produced a range of miniatures based on the 1979 animated film of the The Lord of the Rings (OOP). Mithril MiniaturesMithril Miniatures have been manufacturing thier range of Lord of the Rings 32mm miniatures since 1987. Citadel MiniaturesCitadel Minatures in the 1980s produced a range of 25mm Lord of the Rings miniatures which supported the Middle Earth Role Playing game by Iron Crown Enterprises (OOP). Grenadier ModelsGrenadier produced a series of Lord of the Rings 25mm miniatures box sets in the 1980s (OOP). Harlequin MiniaturesHarlequin Miniatures produced a range of 28mm Lord of the Rings miniatures in the 1990s. A set of rules was published to support the miniatures range called Fantasy Armies, but the army lists was never published (OOP). WizkidsWizKids (I) in 2011 produced a Collectiable Minature Game called HeroClix: The Lord of the Rings which had a series of pre-painted plastic miniatures (OOP). Games WorkshopGames Workshop produced a range of 28mm miniatures for their The Lord of the Rings strategy battle games which is licenced from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, directed by Peter Jackson.
