We are a group who play board games in the west end of Glasgow. We mostly play the so called eurogames like The Settlers of Catan, Ra, El Grande, Coloretto and the like. A lot of other board and card games get played from war games to cooperative games to trick taking games. We are currently meeting on wednesday nights in peoples' flats in the west end.

Meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month in the Masonic Hall in Hope Street, Motherwell from 12.00 until 17.00. The cost is £2.50 per adult and £0.50 per child, under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
There are usually around 20 people per session, a good variety of board and card games get played and it looks as though rpg's will be a regular feature from now on.
There's also a regular Monday night meet up in Glasgow at the Auctioneers pub just off george square from 17.30.

We are a group playing mainly Euro-style games, meeting every Monday in Liverpool city centre. The LWA is mainly miniature wargame and RPG focussed, but a lot of members play board games very regularly. The games tend to be the heavier/conflict end of the spectrum such as Twilight Imperium, Civ, Liberte, 7 Ages, etc. along with pure war boardgames such as World in Flames, ASL, Hitler's War, etc. They have their own premises so leaving games set up for campaigns is possible.
The LWA uses a membership system to pay for the premises but the first few visits are free.
You are advised to contact LWA and get on the mailing list to organise a day to come down (and to get directions to the well hidden premises). Everyone is very friendly but many weekends people are busy with pre-planned games.

Run by the local shopkeeper from 'The Missing Geek', we use the nearby Two Rivers pub (back room) every Wednesday(board games) and Friday(magic) from 6-10pm. The charge is £1 and drinks can be bought at the bar, food unfortunately is unavailable since the pub currently has no chef (they are however happy if you order pizza or bring in food).
On Wednesdays we play a mix of euros and lighter games, with the occasional game of x-wing or magic happening too. All are welcome, just turn up on the day.
